Job Description

Join our Biostatistics Research team in Lausanne and use your exceptional technical skills to help us deliver on our mission of democratizing Data-Driven Medicine. Our products are used by thousands of healthcare institutions globally and provide world leading capabilities for the analysis of genomic, clinical, and imaging data.

We are seeking an enthusiastic, proactive and organized individual to join our team, able to adapt to our continually evolving environment.

The team develops algorithms and tools for analysing next-generation sequencing (NGS) data. This particular position will be focused on supporting and developing solutions for detecting copy-number variations (CNV) in germline and somatic analyses.

The responsibilities of the applicant will include:

assisting in providing support for the existing CNV detection tools;
assisting in data management for research and development projects;
developing new algorithms and tools for CNV detection and related problems.


Required qualifications and skills:

    Ph.D. in physics, computer science, bioinformatics or similar field. Candidates with a Master degree and a publication record will also be considered.
    Experience with some of the following languages: C/C++, Python, R, shell scripting.
    Readiness to learn new tools and languages as needed for projects.

    Full professional proficiency in English, strong communication skills.
    Strong analytical skills, creativity, willingness to take initiative.
    Good balance between rigorous and practical approaches.
    Self-organization and responsibility. Ability to work in parallel on multiple projects.

Additional skills that would be beneficial:

    Experience in data analysis for NGS.
    Experience in software development.
