Mammoth is seeking a Research Associate with experience in molecular diagnostics or CRISPR technologies to join its Diagnostic team. The ideal candidate will have experience with in vitro assay development, nucleic acid extraction, and isothermal amplification techniques. Furthermore, the candidate will be comfortable working as part of a team, be highly motivated, and display excellent time management skills.


    • Assist in developing, validating, and improving the performance of diagnostic assays
    • Independently plan and execute hands-on-experiments for nucleic acid extraction, amplification, and related assays
    • Rigorously document experiments in lab notebook and regularly present experimental results at internal meetings
    • Clearly communicate project status and discuss next steps with supervisor and other members of the diagnostic team
    • Resolve problems by examining and evaluating data and selecting corrective steps


    • 1+ years of wet lab experience
    • Experience performing, optimizing and analyzing results from PCR, qPCR, and/or isothermal amplification
    • Bachelors or Masters degree in the field of biology (molecular biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, etc.)


    • Industry experience with molecular diagnostics and diagnostic devices
    • Familiarity with CRISPR-Cas systems
    • Experience with DNA and RNA extraction methods
