Position Summary:

The Manager/Sr. Manager, Marketing and Events works closely with the commercial team to help successfully execute commercial events and activities. Events include team meetings, corporate tradeshows, Key Opinion Leader (KOL) events, and sponsorship programs.
 
Reports to:   

Director of Marketing
 
Responsibilities:

Work with commercial leadership to define and execute annual event planning.
Manage event sponsorship schedule, including working with internal and external partners on upcoming sponsorship activity, fulfilling logistical requests and maintaining visibility to internal teams.
Coordinate all logistics and deliverables for events, including:
 Book booth and meeting space;
 Secure team registrations, travel and accommodations;
 Facilitate training of on-site attendees;
 Manage all aspects of regulatory and compliance requirements;
 Pack and send exhibition material;
 Build relationships and negotiate contracts with venues, vendors and hotel properties to ensure timely and cost-effective execution;
 Develop staffing and pre-conference training schedules;
 Track expenses and assist in completing financial reconciliation;
 Ensure lead capture and transfer to Salesforce;
 Maintain show schedules, project checklists and processes through exhibit management templates;
 Manage post event show mailings and maintain customer lists;
 Work with marketing leadership to determine ROI of events and recommendations for future activities.
 
Travel:

Required to travel up to 40%, domestic travel. Occasional weekends.
 
Physical Requirements:

Subject to extended periods of sitting and/or standing, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is generally performed in an office. Occasional lifting up to 30 pounds.  Push/pull up to 50lbs of equipment on a cart.
 
Position Requirements:

A bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, communications or related field preferred.
A minimum of 5years+ experience with event planning, preferably in the medical field.
 
Personal Qualifications:
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, time management, and customer service skills.
Highly organized with attention to detail and a sense of urgency.
Strong event planning and logistics experience.
Proficiently track and manage budgets.
Demonstrated ability in problem solving, taking initiative, judgment, and decision-making.
Strong project management skills with the ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects, balance priorities and multitask effectively.
Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
Deadline driven with the ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
