Mammoth is seeking a Sr. Research Associate with experience in CRISPR technologies to join its Diagnostic team. The ideal candidate will have experience with molecular diagnostic assay development, isothermal amplification techniques, and interfacing assay team operations with quality management. Furthermore, the candidate will be comfortable working as part of a team, be highly motivated, and display excellent time management skills. The role will initially bridge assay development and quality management responsibilities. The candidate will have the opportunity to transition towards one of these roles full-time in the future.

Key Responsibilities

    • Assist in developing, validating, and improving the performance of diagnostic assays in vitro and on prototype devices
    • Design and carryout experiments to characterize device or subsystem performance and reagent stability
    • Troubleshoot experiments by evaluating data and selecting corrective steps
    • Adhere to SOPs and rigorously document experiments in a electronic lab notebook
    • Contribute to eQMS development and maintenance of associated documentation processes
    • Regularly present experimental results at internal meetings
    • Develop training modules, maintain registries, and write documentation for Mammoth’s electronic laboratory notebook system
    • Manage electronic laboratory notebook system to enable and expand functionality for laboratory personnel and ensure protocols are compatible with internal eQMS system

Required Qualifications

    • Bachelors or Masters degree in the field of biology (molecular biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, etc.) with at least 2+ years of relevant experience
    • Experience performing, optimizing and analyzing results from CRISPR diagnostic or isothermal amplification experiments

Preferred Qualifications

      • Industry experience with molecular diagnostics and diagnostic devices
      • Deep familiarity with CRISPR-Cas systems
      • Experience working with eQMS
      • Familiarity with Benchling
